The data controller is Antoine Mourgues.

2. What data we process
Most of the information you enter (your dog's name, breed, age, weight, build, health and walk habits, their photo, your outing journal, your settings) is stored on your device only and is never sent to our servers. The table below describes what, if anything, leaves the device.
| Data | Why | Recipient | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Geolocation | To get the local weather and compute the walk verdict. No route or walk track is recorded. | Open-Meteo | Performance of the service (your use of the app) |
| Rounded location, time zone, language, walk times, acclimation offsets, dog's name, notification token | To send you the reminders and weather alerts you enabled. Your location is rounded (~1 km) and your profile reduced to a few values, never sent in clear form. | Supabase (servers in the European Union) | Consent (you turn notifications on) |
| Anonymous usage events (screens viewed, onboarding steps completed or skipped, paywall interactions), an app-generated device identifier, app version, language, country from your device settings, subscription status, and the anonymous RevenueCat customer identifier | To understand where people get stuck in the app and improve it. The identifier is generated by the app itself: it is not your advertising identifier, it is not linked to any account, and it does not follow you across other apps or websites. No advertising, no profiling, no resale. | Supabase (servers in the European Union) | Legitimate interest (measuring and improving the app) |
| Purchases and subscription status, anonymous purchase identifier | To unlock and manage the Woofly+ subscription. | RevenueCat, Apple, Google | Performance of the subscription contract |
Woofly does not require an account, does not collect your name, address or contact details, and shows no advertising.
3. Service providers (processors)
- Open-Meteo — provides weather data from your location.
- Supabase — sends push notifications and hosts our own usage measurement (servers located in the European Union).
- RevenueCat — technical management of subscriptions.
- Apple and Google — process purchases via the App Store and Google Play, and deliver push notifications.
4. Transfers outside the European Union
Supabase is configured on servers located in the European Union. RevenueCat, Apple and Google may process some data in the United States, under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and applicable transfer frameworks).
5. Retention
- Local data is kept while you use the app, and erased when you uninstall the app or use "Erase my data".
- Notification data is deleted from our servers when you turn notifications off, uninstall the app, or erase your data. Usage measurement events are kept for at most 400 days, then deleted automatically.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data.
- Since almost all of your data is on your device, you can edit or erase it at any time from the app (Profile screen, "Erase my data" option), or by uninstalling the app.
- For any request about server-side data, email contact.antoinemourgues@gmail.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — www.cnil.fr).
7. Security
We put in place reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including local storage, minimizing the data sent (rounded location, reduced profile) and encrypted transfers (HTTPS).
8. Children
Woofly is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect data about minors under 15.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated. For any significant change, we will let you know in the app. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
