In short. Woofly is local-first: your dog's profile, your location, your journal and your settings stay on your phone. There is no user account. The only data that leaves your device is used to give you the weather, to send you the notifications you enabled, to run your subscription, and to keep a profile card of your dog (name, breed, age, weight, city and a small thumbnail of their photo) so we can help you if you contact us and improve the app.

2. What data we process

Most of the information you enter (your dog's build and health, the full-size photo, your outing journal, your settings) is stored on your device only. The table below describes what leaves the device.

Woofly does not require an account, does not collect your name, address or contact details, and shows no advertising.

3. Service providers (processors)

Open-Meteo — provides weather data from your location.
Supabase — sends push notifications, hosts our own usage measurement and your dog's profile card (servers located in the European Union).
RevenueCat — technical management of subscriptions.
Apple and Google — process purchases via the App Store and Google Play, and deliver push notifications.

4. Transfers outside the European Union

Supabase is configured on servers located in the European Union. RevenueCat, Apple and Google may process some data in the United States, under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and applicable transfer frameworks).

5. Retention

Local data is kept while you use the app, and erased when you uninstall the app or use "Erase my data".
Notification data is deleted from our servers when you turn notifications off, uninstall the app, or erase your data. Usage measurement events are kept for at most 400 days, then deleted automatically.
Your dog's profile card and thumbnail are deleted from our servers as soon as you use "Erase my data". You can also email us to request deletion.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data.

Since almost all of your data is on your device, you can edit or erase it at any time from the app (Profile screen, "Erase my data" option), or by uninstalling the app.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — www.cnil.fr).

7. Security

We put in place reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including local storage, minimizing the data sent (rounded location, reduced profile) and encrypted transfers (HTTPS).

8. Children

Woofly is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect data about minors under 15.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. For any significant change, we will let you know in the app. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
